Milena Govich
Milena Govich first gained attention for her recurring role as Candy on the FX series ‘Rescue Me’, starring Denis Leary, for which she recently reprised her role, in the fifth and sixth seasons. Prior to that, Govich played Lyndsay Swann on the Fox show ‘K-ville’, starring Anthony Anderson and Cole Hauser. Govich is perhaps best known for her role of Nina Cassady--the first female detective on the Emmy award-winning series ‘Law & Order’. She also starred as Assistant District Attorney Jessica Rossi on the Dick Wolf legal drama ‘Conviction’.
A native of Norman Oklahoma, Govich was the valedictorian of her high school class before completing a double major in vocal performance and pre-med at the University of Central Oklahoma. Soon after, she moved to New York and found herself singing, dancing, acting, and playing the violin in her first Broadway role as Lulu in the musical ‘Cabaret’, and later playing the central role of Sally Bowles. Govich followed that with featured Broadway runs of ‘The Boys from Syracuse’ and ‘Good Vibrations’. She has also traveled to China, appearing in a series of rock concerts with the country’s top recording artist, Fei Xiang.
