Terry Leonard

Terry Leonard has produced many indie films, beginning his career with the short film ‘Climbing Miss Sophie’, which played at Sundance and Tribeca film festivals and won several awards. His feature film success began with ‘Virgin’, which starred Robin Wright-Penn, earned two Independent Spirit Awards nominations, and enjoyed a small theatrical release. His next film, ‘Particles of Truth’, likewise grasped numerous awards and a theatrical run. His feature ‘Stephanie Daley’, starring Amber Tamblyn, Tilda Swinton and Timothy Hutton, hit theaters in 2007, and boasted a robust festival run, winning Best Screenplay at Sundance in 2006, and earning Amber Tamblyn a 2007 Independent Spirit Best Actress nomination. Leonard’s most talked-about film, the Dakota Fanning vehicle ‘Hounddog’, premiered at Sundance at 2007.

Leonard recently wrapped principal photography on the feature film adaptation of the award-winning novel ‘Dream Boy’, shot on location in Louisiana. Leonard is currently in post production feature films ‘Sordid Things’ and ‘Frost’, which will be making festival rounds throughout this year.

Leonard lives in New York City, and is developing several projects for a new production company he will be launching soon.
